Our Founding Story
Sheger Entrepreneurs Association (SEA) was established in 2019 G.C. with a bold vision to catalyze entrepreneurship and foster inclusive economic development in Ethiopia. Officially registered as a local civil society organization under Registry Number 4488, SEA emerged from the collective determination of selfless, visionary entrepreneurs and business leaders who recognized the urgent need to support and empower the country's growing community of innovators and enterprise builders.
The purpose of SEA is to serve as a dynamic platform that empowers entrepreneurs across Ethiopia by equipping them with entrepreneurial skills, knowledge, resources, networks, and enabling conditions necessary to build sustainable and impactful businesses. SEA aims to nurture a regenerative entrepreneurial ecosystem that encourages innovation, creates meaningful employment, and addresses pressing social and economic challenges through enterprise.
