Sheger Business Forum 2025: Connecting 500+ Local Entrepreneurs

The Sheger Entrepreneurs Association successfully hosted its annual Business Forum on October 15, 2024, bringing together over 500 entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from across Addis Ababa. The event, held at the prestigious Sheger Innovation Hub, marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration and growth within Ethiopia's thriving business ecosystem.

This year's forum focused on "Innovation and Collaboration for Economic Growth," featuring keynote addresses from prominent business leaders and government officials. The event provided an unprecedented platform for local entrepreneurs to network, share insights, and explore partnership opportunities that drive sustainable business development in the region. Participants engaged in intensive workshops covering digital transformation, access to funding, and market expansion strategies.

"The Sheger Business Forum has become the cornerstone event for Ethiopia's entrepreneurial community. This gathering demonstrates the incredible potential of our local businesses to drive economic transformation and create meaningful impact across various sectors."
Ato Solomon Bekele, President of Sheger Entrepreneurs Association

One of the highlights was the startup pitch competition, where 15 innovative ventures presented their business models to a panel of investors. Three startups secured funding commitments totaling 2.5 million Birr, while several others gained valuable mentorship opportunities. The energy sector, technology innovation, and agricultural transformation emerged as the most promising areas for investment and growth.
